Corrie learnt the finer art and craft of filmmaking while hidden away in a dark room, working as a projectionist in Perth’s renowned art-house Luna Cinemas. But his fascination with filmmaking began even earlier, when from the time he was merely 4 years-old, his aunt would take him to the movies almost every other weekend to feast on a steady diet of 80’s cinema.

This created a young filmmaker with a true passion for the world of visual storytelling.

Since 2010, well-liked and noted fedora enthusiast Corrie has worked as a commercials director and editor - both nationally and internationally - with stints in various cities and respected production houses around Australia.

His work for brands such as McDonalds, Lipton, Cricket Australia, KFC, RAC, Kleenheat, StarTrack, Australia Post, Road Safety Commission, iiNet, HBF and Lotterywest speaks for itself, with careful crafting, sharp insights and elements of the human experience that range from the sublime to the hilarious.

In the advertising world, his work has been recognised at D&AD, Cannes, One Show and AWARD.

Corrie has found equal acclaim with longer-format films as well, with his short film ‘Water’ picking up an impressive list of international awards, including an AACTA Award and Australian Directors Guild award for ‘Best Direction’.

Without a doubt, Corrie has an awe-inspiring collection of hats that he likes to wear on any given day.
